Please read these terms carefully before using MageBank

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MageBank, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.

Important: Your continued use of MageBank constitutes acceptance of these terms and any future modifications.

2. Account Registration & Responsibility

When you create an account on MageBank, you agree to the following:

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You will not share your account with others
  • You will immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:

  • Using bots, macros, auto-clickers, or any automated tools
  • Exploiting bugs, glitches, or game mechanics for unfair advantage
  • Real-world trading (RWT) of in-game items or currency
  • Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior toward other players
  • Impersonating staff members or other players
  • Attempting to hack, DDoS, or compromise the server infrastructure
  • Sharing or distributing exploits, cheats, or hacks
  • Advertising other servers, websites, or services
  • Scamming, phishing, or defrauding other players
  • Creating multiple accounts to abuse voting, donations, or game mechanics

4. Enforcement & Penalties

We reserve the right to:

  • Temporarily or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms
  • Remove or rollback items, experience, or in-game wealth obtained through violations
  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the game at any time
  • Refuse service to anyone for any reason

Punishments are issued at staff discretion based on the severity of the violation. Repeated offenses will result in harsher penalties.

5. Donations & Virtual Goods

All donations and purchases made on MageBank are final and non-refundable except where required by law.

  • Virtual items and currency have no real-world monetary value
  • We do not guarantee permanent access to any virtual items
  • Items may be modified, removed, or rebalanced at our discretion
  • Chargebacks will result in immediate permanent account termination
  • We are not responsible for donations made to fraudulent or phishing websites

6. Intellectual Property

MageBank is a fan-made private server and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Jagex Ltd. All RuneScape-related trademarks, logos, and content are property of Jagex Ltd.

MageBank custom content, including but not limited to:

  • Custom website design and code
  • Custom game content and features
  • Server infrastructure and modifications
  • Community-created content

Remains the property of MageBank and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without explicit permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

MageBank is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Security of data or account information
  • Accuracy or reliability of game content
  • Permanent availability of the server

Use at your own risk: We are not liable for any loss of virtual items, progress, or data resulting from server issues, rollbacks, or closures.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MageBank and its staff shall not be liable for:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or virtual items
  • Interruption of service or access to the game
  • Actions or conduct of other users
  • Unauthorized access to your account

9. User-Generated Content

By posting, uploading, or sharing content on MageBank (including chat messages, forum posts, or Discord messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content.

You agree not to post content that is:

  • Illegal, threatening, or abusive
  • Defamatory or violates privacy rights
  • Contains malware or harmful code
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Sexually explicit or inappropriate for minors

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of MageBank after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Major changes will be announced via:

  • In-game notifications
  • Discord announcements
  • Website homepage news

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the service immediately ceases
  • All virtual items and progress may be forfeited
  • No refunds will be issued for donations or purchases
  • You may be permanently banned from creating new accounts
